Chrysoteleia
   The "gold tax" of Antasasios I (q.v.), the purpose of which is unclear. It may have replaced the chrysargyron (q.v.). Another alternative is that it commuted the annona (q.v.) into a cash tax, or that it may have been an irregular tax.
